A leader in the treatment of vein disease with extensive training and experience in interventional radiology, Dr. Furlong attended medical school at Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska. He then completed a residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the UMKC-Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri and proceeded with a fellowship in musculoskeletal radiology at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Both residency and fellowship training were with strong emphasis on interventional procedures.
Dr. Furlong is the Medical Director of Physician’s Vascular Services Clinic and is deeply committed to helping each and every one of his patients understand their individual diagnosis, treatment options, and treatment plans. Dr. Patrick R. Cook attended medical school at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA. He then completed a rigorous five year residency in General Surgery followed by an additional 2 year accredited fellowship in Vascular Surgery at UC San Diego / Scripps Clinic. Dr. Cook’s training has included the comprehensive study, diagnosis, and treatment of venous disease. He maintains a keen interest in both the surgical and catheter based treatment modalities of venous disease. His patients’ understanding of their diagnosis, planned course of treatment, comfort, and satisfaction is of paramount importance to him.
He is board certified in both General Surgery and Vascular Surgery by the American Board of Surgery. Additionally, he is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons which reflects his level of education and training, professional qualifications, surgical competence, and ethical conduct.
