Experience the VenaSeal™ Difference — A New, Innovative Varicose Vein Treatment

Physician’s Vascular Services in El Paso is proud to offer the latest form of treatment for varicose veins: VenaSeal. The VenaSeal treatment was first introduced in the U.S. in 2015 and has quickly gained momentum for its remarkable results. It’s a non-thermal, non-tumescent, and non-sclerosant form of varicose vein treatment that essentially eliminates any risk of thermal nerve damage. Multiple studies have backed its safety and effectiveness, which is why PVS has been performing these treatments for our patients since 2015, with great results.

Benefits

Benefits of VenaSeal begin with the treatment being a non-surgical option. For many patients, traditional varicose vein treatments such as vein stripping surgery, drive them away from ever treating their painful varicose veins. VenaSeal uses a special medical adhesive that eliminates any risk of nerve injury. This is especially important when treating smaller veins. Other benefits of the treatment include:

The Process: Treating Varicose Veins Without Surgery

Knowing what to expect on the day of your appointment can certainly loosen some natural feelings of anxiety. You can be confident in knowing our team will answer all of your questions so you arrive feeling prepared and excited for treatment!

Here is an overview of what you can expect at the time of your appointment:

Before Treatment

Prior to treatment, you will have an ultrasound image taken of the soon-to-be treated area. This will allow our physicians to better assess your varicose veins and prepare for the procedure. You’ll also want to wear loose-fitted clothing and comfortable walking shoes that day. For patients with a low pain threshold or anxiety, we do offer conscious sedation.

After Treatment

Since VenaSeal is non-surgical, you can expect to return to your normal schedule following treatment. Our physicians will discuss proper aftercare with you as each patient’s needs may vary. Generally, you will have a small bandage placed over the treated area. You may need to change out the bandage in order to keep the area clean and dry. Depending on your health, you may be advised to rest after the procedure. Within 48 hours, you can return to your normal exercise regiment. If you experience any unusual symptoms, give our office a call immediately.
